With a lifelong passion for photography, she boasts three decades of experience in various industries including weddings, people, children, real estate, advertising, fashion, and fine art.

DISCOVERING HER LOVE OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Heidi grew up just outside of Madison, Wisconsin on a hobby farm where she developed a love for nature and the outdoors. As a teenager, she started collecting black and white images from a fashion newspaper called “W”, which she plastered all over her walls. This sparked her interest in photography and prompted her to take photography classes in high school where she discovered her love for working in the darkroom.

Heidi started her photography career in Wisconsin but now resides in South Carolina and wants to focus her work in and around the Charleston area. Her inclination towards nature and photographing in natural light aligns perfectly with her desire to explore and document the beautiful people and picturesque city of Charleston. Of course, Heidi is always open to travel anywhere a project requires.

Heidi’s photographic style is dreamy, sensual, textural, and ethereal. She prefers using natural light and employs various photographic methods, both in color and in black and white, such as soft lighting, soft focus, lens flare, backlighting, intentional subject blur, and cross processing.
