Nancy Flowers
“Photographing her felt less like a session and more like stepping into a beautifully lived-in narrative“
Through my work with Stroll South of Broad, I’m often reminded that the most meaningful stories begin unexpectedly. Meeting Nancy Flowers was one of those moments.
We quite literally crossed paths—just outside a shop, where she was walking her dog, King Louie III. A brief exchange quickly revealed her warmth, wit, and unmistakable sense of style. By the end of that chance encounter, we had connected in a way that felt meant to be.
Photographing Nancy in her home was an extension of that first impression. Surrounded by French antiques, layered textiles, and pieces collected over a lifetime, her world reflects a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and design. Her path has taken her from owning a boutique filled with antique garments to working in custom design, restoration, and lecturing—each chapter adding to the richness of her story.
There is an ease about Nancy— perhaps, by her years modeling and traveling—that makes her captivating and completely natural in front of the camera.
Photographing her felt less like a session and more like stepping into a beautifully lived-in narrative—one of artistry, experience, and a life thoughtfully curated in the heart of South of Broad.
