Photographing for Stroll South of Broad during the holiday season always feels especially meaningful, and this December issue was no exception. Meeting Anthony Leadem, along with his partner Gray and their beloved dog Gladys, was truly a joy.

We gathered for the cover at Anthony’s office, located in the iconic People's Building in South of Broad. The setting felt both festive and welcoming—perfectly reflecting the spirit of the season and the charm of Charleston. There was an ease to the session, a natural connection that made photographing them feel effortless and genuine.

Gladys, clearly adored, became a natural part of the story. Cradled in Anthony’s arms for the cover, she was at ease—bringing a sense of sweet personality, and heart to the image. It was one of those moments that can’t be staged, only felt, and it added something special to the session.

In this issue, Anthony shares how he transformed his love of traveling into a business—helping others experience the world more fully and make the most of their own journeys. It’s a path built on passion, curiosity, and a desire to create meaningful experiences for others.

And yet, no matter where life and travel may lead, Charleston—especially South of Broad—remains home. Capturing this moment during the holiday season felt like the perfect way to close out the year.
