Photographing for Stroll South of Broad continues to bring me into some of the most beautiful homes—and even more meaningful encounters. Meeting Freddie Hecht and her husband Bill was truly a pleasure.
Freddie has spent over 37 years building her design firm, helping clients bring their unique visions to life with intention and artistry. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that her home was a reflection of that same thoughtful eye—elegant, welcoming, and effortlessly refined.
While Freddie was my subject, Bill supported from the background, allowing the focus to remain on her. We began the session on the veranda, moved through the garden, and finished in the front hall, framed by magnificent doors that felt grand.
Freddie chose a dress with just the right amount of movement—soft, flowing, and perfectly suited to the setting. She made the shoot easy in front of the camera, bringing a natural grace to moment.
After the session, Freddie invited us to stay for dinner she had prepared, paired with a beautiful wine. It was one of those rare, lingering moments—where work fades into connection.
