Photographing for Stroll South of Broad brings me in contact with extraordinary individuals, and meeting Reagan Guy was truly a joy.

Reagan lives in Charleston’s South of Broad neighborhood and, at just 20 years old, is already deeply dedicated to her craft. She is a student at the College of Charleston, where she studies music performance and serves as principal flutist in the college’s symphony orchestra. Having played the flute for over a decade, her commitment and talent are unmistakable.

Photographing Reagan for the cover felt both effortless and inspiring. Dressed in an elegant green gown, she moved with a natural grace—at one moment playing the harp, at another embodying the quiet confidence of a seasoned performer. In addition to flute, she is also an accomplished piccolo player and harpist, with performances that have taken her to stages such as Charleston Music Hall and beyond.

There is something striking about witnessing someone so young already so connected to their passion. Reagan carries both discipline and artistry with ease, reflecting not only her own dedication, but also the timeless beauty and creative spirit of South of Broad.
